ℌ𝔦𝔰𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔶           At four years old, Vas Korellion t'Esmaria, firstborn son of Emperor Val Verendelle and Empress Val Sarielle, buried his mother and was left to grieve alone at her grave. His father in turn went on to marry Lady Arelliea Vassner, his childhood sweetheart, and be blessed with two more children: Vas Granderel t'Esmaria and Var Anabelle t'Esmaria. Rumors arose then of the Emperor's shifting favor and the inevitability of Korellion losing his title as heir apparent.           When it became evident that his efforts would bear no fruit of affection for his existence in any capacity, Korel sought freedom by joining the Northern Campaign, with his first battle at the tender age of 13. In the following years he would throw himself into the frontline repeatedly with little regard for his own safety- seeking an end to his life and inadvertently making a name for himself in the process. Though he could not gain the respect of the soldiers, he did earn widespread recognition as a vaunted swordsman.           His greatest contribution, however, would be to end the campaign once and for all through a magical working of considerable magnitude. A glacial wall that spanned the length of the entire Northern Front- appearing so suddenly as to have trapped countless souls within, both friend and foe. One that could not be shattered under any means and, in defiance of all reason, seemed alive- changing its form to deny any and all attempts to cross it. This act would gain him the attention of the Sorcerers' Tower, who would name him a master-candidate at the young age of 16. One who was so gifted of their element, it was predicted there would be none to surpass them.           What followed in the days to come, only one person knows, but Korellion eventually returned to the capital with curses thrown at his head for the lives he had taken and the body of his fallen knight-protector, the current Empress's nephew. And after the funerals, he began to plan. To make the Esmarian Empire an infallible stronghold... and to remove himself from it as speedily as possible.

𝔓𝔢𝔯𝔪𝔦𝔰𝔰𝔦𝔬𝔫𝔰           engagement: okay with all canons, aus, ocs/focs and assumed cr. lemme luv ya.           backtagging: kind of a way of life tbh.           fourthwalling: your char will be labeled a nutter, but otherwise fine by me.           mindreading/past-viewing/power-sensing: all a-ok! shoot me a dm if you want specifics, be it for rp/fight advantage or w/e.           contact/fighting/death/etc.: generally yes. i don't really have a lot of hangups. shoot me a dm if you wanna establish cr or just go for broke and i'll adjust as need be.           relationships: korel is bisexual, leaning mlm on a physical level and mlw emotionally. this doesn't mean he can't swing either way in either regard but that's just what comes more naturally to him. he'll love who he loves and- lonely and self-isolated as he is- he'll love just about anyone who loves him, even if he knows it to be unwise or imbalanced. (though whether he would call it love himself is another question.)           being in a relationship with korel essentially requires both patience and tough-love, ironically enough. someone who will be able to see he's grown too used to the notion of rejection and now presumes it of everyone, thus cutting himself off from people who genuinely want to form connections with him. essentially life made of him a victim/villain and a victim/villain he willingly became, thinking there is no need to change because the world cannot be changed.           tl;dr shounen protag his ass. or, y'know, make him worse.
